Semper Fi Auto Repair was established by David McMains, a former F-18 mechanic in the Marine Corps from 1999 to 2003. Following his military service, David embarked on a career as a full-time firefighter/EMT with a fire department in Georgia. His journey eventually led him to Las Vegas, where he immersed himself in the automotive industry, initially working with classic car restoration and later as a mechanic for an emergency medical service operation.

During a stint in an auto shop's waiting room while awaiting service for an ambulance, David overheard a disconcerting conversation. A salesman informed a customer, who had just paid $1500 for a brake job, that a simple brake light change would incur an additional $50 charge. This encounter left David astounded; he recognized the disparity between the minimal effort required for the brake light replacement and the exorbitant charge associated with it.

Motivated by this eye-opening experience, David was determined to challenge the prevailing practices in the auto industry. He envisioned a different approach—a commitment to honesty and fair pricing. Thus, Semper Fi Auto Repair was born, driven by David's desire to provide customers with transparent and trustworthy automotive services.
